Ocean educators

Ocean, including coastal informal education, courses that educate and bring awareness to school pupils, members of the Public and Government Officials about the Oceans, their inhabitants and their plight. The scope of this education and awareness is dependant on the audience and their requirements. The course does include lectures, presentations and practical demonstrations in a classroom, and depending on the course could include a guided visit to mangrove swamps, vegetated sand dunes, the rocky littoral zone and/or diving in one of our Oceans by snorkeling or SCUBA diving underwater to enhance understanding.

Marine including shark adventure tour guides

We offer informative guided adventure tours of all types of reefs and ship wrecks for qualified SCUBA divers, >and tours of the rocky littoral zone shore line, mangroves and marine aquariums for non-diving members of the public. We are Registered Marine Environment Adventure Tour Guides who take local and International diving and non-diving tourists on guided marine eco adventure tours.

Ocean diving adventure training 

We offer a PADI sanctioned specialty course called ‘ocean exploration diver’ to develop divers to become Underwater Adventurers searching for new reefs and ship wrecks using environmentally friendly side scan SONAR.

Marine including shark adventure tour guide trainers and assessors

We train and assess Marine (including shark) Adventure Guides to comply with the requirements of the Tourism Act and its amendments. Once the candidate has been found competent, the marine adventure guide can then apply for registration as a marine environment adventure tour guide. The minimum entry requirements for candidates are current internationally recognised recreational divemaster (DM) status or commercial diving equivalent with an enriched air/Nitrox speciality qualification and a current first aid, oxygen provider and CPR certificate.

Dive Training and Continuing education for Ocean divers

We offer 19 different SCUBA diving courses from beginner to Master SCUBA Diver and Divemaster but specialise in Underwater Naturalist, Shark Diving, Enriched Air/Nitrox, and Shipwreck diving speciality courses. We instruct snorkel diving as a single short course.

Shark course education for Ocean divers

We offer Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) and Ocean Vision specialty Shark courses for Ocean divers.

Our Vision

We are an all South African Ocean Education and Adventure business that is dedicated to educating the people of Africa about the Oceans whilst they are experiencing adventure and having fun. We believe that by educating people about the oceans, their inhabitants and their plight, people will be empowered with proper understanding to begin play a part in reducing the damage done to our Oceans and Planet and influence true change in the minds of much of Southern Africa’s people as well as its leaders.
